VidyaLMS documentation

VidyaLMS helps you turn what you know into courses people can follow, practise, and complete. Use it to teach an individual learner, run scheduled classes, or deliver training to several organizations from the same site.

These guides are for the people who run the academy, teach its courses, and support its learners. You do not need to be a developer to follow the everyday setup instructions.

Start with your platform

Joomla 6Install on JoomlaComponents → VidyaLMS
WordPressInstall on WordPressVidyaLMS in the WordPress dashboard

Most teaching and administration screens work the same way on both platforms. Installation, website menus, user permissions, email delivery, and shop integration have platform-specific instructions.

New administrators can start with the workspace tour. For help to share with students, use the learner's guide.

What would you like to do?

How the pieces fit together

A course contains modules and lessons. A learner receives access, joins the course, and builds up progress. Your completion rules decide when the course is finished. A certificate can then recognize that achievement.

Your CMS continues to manage website accounts and sign-in. For paid courses, EasyCommerce handles sales on Joomla and WooCommerce handles sales on WordPress. VidyaLMS connects a successful purchase to learning access. Set prices, payment methods, subscriptions, invoices, and refunds in the shop.

Why your screen may look different

The available controls depend on your permissions and the extensions installed on your site. Pro and Business features add assessment tools, organization services, report formats, and integrations. A feature listed as optional in these guides requires its supporting package or connected service; installing VidyaLMS alone does not configure that service.

The feature reference points to the right guide for each area and explains these dependencies. If a button is missing, check that reference before changing permissions or reinstalling anything.
